Our Ideal Candidate
We're seeking an experienced Mechanical Designer to join our dynamic product development team. In this role, you'll collaborate with Industrial Designers, Mechanical Engineers, and Electrical Engineers to create innovative solutions for our diverse client base. With access to in-house prototyping facilities, you'll be able to rapidly iterate and validate your designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex mechanical design projects from concept through production
- Develop detailed 3D models and drawings primarily using SolidWorks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions
- Work directly with clients' engineering and manufacturing teams
- Apply GD&T principles and perform tolerance stack analyses
- Coordinate with tooling and manufacturing vendors
- Mentor junior designers and engineers
- Participate in continuous professional development
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Mechanical Design or equivalent experience
- Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks and other CAD systems
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly injection molding, die casting, and sheet metal
- Thorough knowledge of design methods and engineering principles
- Experience with GD&T and tolerance stack analysis
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 7 years of diverse mechanical design experience
- Previous experience in client-facing roles
- Track record of successful product launches
- Experience across multiple industries
