Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Manager to oversee the daily operations of our kennel and boarding facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and comfort of all animals in our care while leading a team of kennel assistants to maintain a clean and organized environment.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate kennel staff, ensuring proper care and handling of animals.
Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kennel environment.
Monitor the health and well-being of boarded animals, identifying any signs of illness or distress.
Administer medications and special dietary needs as directed by veterinarians.
Manage feeding, exercise, and bathing schedules for all boarded animals.
Maintain accurate records of animal care, medications, and any behavioral concerns.
Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, safety regulations, and animal care standards.
Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets stay.
Assist in hiring, training, and scheduling of kennel staff.
Order and maintain inventory of kennel supplies.

Requirements:
Six (6) months of previous experience in animal care and kennel management required.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Passion for working with animals and ensuring their well-being.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle animals of various sizes and temperaments.
Knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
