About Our Role
We're seeking an experienced Cloud System Administrator to join our rapidly growing team. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to install, configure, and maintain mid-range Windows and Azure operating systems while working on high-scale, secure Azure environments. In this role our new admin will have numerous opportunities to learn and grow while contributing to FedRAMP and HIPAA-compliant projects and will play a key role in modernizing systems using Azure API Management, Functions, Kubernetes, and AI services. In this position the new Admin will be supporting our nation's veterans through our work with the Department of Veterans Affairs, tackling moderately complex challenges that drive real impact. We're looking for someone who can work independently, propose innovative solutions, and mentor junior staff in a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Responsibilities
As part of an Agile team, our Cloud System Administrator will :
- Follow checklists and SOPs for core tasks.
- Allocate disk volumes, run PowerShell scripts, edit Windows registry and manage AD group members and AD groups.
- Install, uninstall, and update software and security certificates on machines, and in Kubernetes application configuration.
- Manage RBAC for storage, machines, robots, users, and applications.
- Decommission old profiles, automations, platforms, and users.
- Manage requests for database access.
- Edit local GPO.
- Script and schedule tasks on Windows and in Azure.
- Create fileshares and adjust access to fileshares.
- Troubleshoot Office and target system API access for human and Non Person Entity (NPE) users.
- Request NPE and service accounts for services and applications and protect access to admin functions, reserving them for EP users.
- Implement Microsoft authentication methods for managed applications.
- Help clients overcome tough challenges through monitoring and performance management.
- Participate in a shared, rotating 24 / 7 on-call schedule to ensure the stability, security, and performance of mission-critical systems.
