What are the responsibilities and job description for the Children's Volleyball Instructor position at i9 Sports?
We're looking for Volleyball Instructors to work on Saturday's with 7-15 year old boys and girls!
The Volleyball Instructor will work with our volunteer coaches and other staff in having fun teaching our young volleyball players the basics of volleyball. The Instructor should be an expert on the game rules for each age/grade division, provided by i9 Sports. The Instructor will support our volunteer coaches on the courts to make sure proper instruction and attention is given to the players and the coaches feel fully supported. In some cases the Instructor will take the lead in the weekly instruction.
The Instructor will bring positive energy to the court to help ensure everyone is having a great i9 Sports Experience! The Instructor will need to be able to manage his/her court to ensure practices and games are started on time and run to the i9 Sports standard. The Instructor will be required to "officiate" the games each week.
The ideal candidate will have a background working with children as young as age 7. Must be a highly motivated SELF-STARTER with HIGH ENERGY that has the ability to motivate and lead others. Must ENJOY working with children and have the ability to teach basic volleyball skills in a manner that's fun and encouraging to our players. Patience is important when working with the younger kids.
This is a great opportunity for college students that enjoy sports and being active with young children.
95% of the working hours are on Saturdays.
Qualifications
- Volleyball coaching or playing experience
- Teaching background
- Experience in Childcare or Physical education
- Customer Service background
