PROJECT COORDINATOR SUMMARY
The Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting Design Managers and Project Managers with all related activities in support of ensuring projects and accounts are operating within schedule and budget. This also includes project related team support with the coordination and documentation of code and permit related activities on architectural/interior design projects from the receipt of RFPs and proposals through the completion of construction.
JOB DUTIES
- Completes all Code, Entitlement and Permitting research and prepares permit packages or applications for assigned projects, ensuring all documents are accurately completed and submitted in a timely manner.
- Researches and resolves denied permits or permit violations.
- Acts as liaison between the permitting offices, staff, contractors and/or clients. Responsible for scheduling of related resources and documentation as necessary.
- Tracks progress and prepares reports for clients or project stakeholders.
- Prepares pre and final site assessment documentation.
- Coordinates Consultants from proposals and contracting to site-visits.
- Assist in project setup, tracking and documentation in applicable systems.
- Facilitate project completion by monitoring and communicating project status and hurdles to teams.
- Schedules and attends staffing, project and client meetings as requested
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Work Experience 5 years’ related work experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Familiar with the commercial interior architecture and / or design industry preferred.
- Knowledge of or experience with building codes, jurisdictions and contracting strongly preferred.
- Intermediate analytical skills.
- Research skills. Systems Knowledge
- Advanced in MS Office Suite
- Familiarity with or ability to learn Asana/One Note Communication Skills
- Ability to understand and follow directions.
- Intermediate verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations. Organizational Skills
- Proven ability to multi-task and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to take responsibility for a project and to follow-up with involved individuals until all issues are resolved.
