Overview
The Permian Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing and growing sales of mud motor rentals and sales in the Permian Basin/NM. This role involves overseeing existing sales representatives, developing new business opportunities, expanding market share, and maintaining key client relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in downhole drilling tools, mud motors, and oilfield operations, with a proven track record of driving sales and managing accounts in the region. Role is REMOTE (must live in New Mexico / Permian Basin / West Texas)
Responsibilities
- Manage and support existing sales representatives in the region, ensuring they meet performance goals and company expectations.
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to expand market share and increase revenue.
- Identify and generate new business leads by targeting drilling contractors, oilfield service companies, and operators.
- Maintain and grow a selected group of existing accounts, ensuring long-term customer satisfaction.
- Perform other duties as required to support business operations and growth.
- Obtain BHAs and ensure customers sign field tickets in a timely manner to streamline invoicing and payments.
- Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities and the potential for new products and services.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in oilfield sales, drilling services, or downhole tool sales (mud motors preferred).
- Strong knowledge of mud motors, drilling operations, and the Permian Basin market.
- Established network within drilling contractors, directional drilling companies, and E&P operators in the region.
- Experience managing a sales team and driving individual and team performance.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
