POSITION SUMMARY: The Production Supervisor reports to the General Manager and is responsible for executing the manufacturing strategy that optimizes the utilization of equipment and resources at the Morristown facility.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Demonstrates a commitment to Iatric’s RRITE values of Renew, Respect, Integrity, Teamwork, and Excellence.
  • Manages non-conformances to completion through investigation and CAPAs.
  • Maintains accountability for safety, quality and productivity across all shifts.
  • Consistently communicates with all departments through PBL, quarterly meetings, etc.
  • Coaches Team Leaders and Technical Operators on performance to meet or improve manufacturing standard output and waste expectations through continuous improvement projects.
  • Conducts performance reviews and administers disciplinary actions for team members.
  • Recommends measures to improve equipment safety and performance, product quality, production efficiencies, and scrap rate for their assets.
  • Provides direction to Team Leaders through Visible Leadership to improve efficiencies, quality or implement corrective action plans for lines that are performing below minimum expectations.
  • Holds responsibility for mentoring Team Leaders and Technical Operators to enhance development and maintain accountability.
  • Ensures Right First Time production by equipping functioning, trained Team Leaders and Technical Operators.
  • Analyzes manufacturing data to identify continuous improvement and cost savings opportunities.
  • Coordinates overtime needs and staffing needs to meet customer demands.
  • Contributes to a cooperative working environment by demonstrating a willingness to perform other job-related work as needed or requested.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: (All items listed are required unless otherwise specified. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential accountability satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.)

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, operations management, or business plus 2 years manufacturing experience; OR high school diploma plus 6 years progressive manufacturing experience with a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.
  • Strong leadership, verbal, written, analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills will be necessary.
  • Strong working knowledge of Safety and Quality management processes, FDA regulatory requirements, EPA regulatory requirements, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) is preferred.
  • Proficiency in team development, including interpersonal relationship building and conflict resolution.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) is required.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and multi-task in a high paced working environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision with high level of motivation.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Lean Manufacturing, High Performing Operating Teams, Six Sigma, SPC and statistical tools and techniques, JDE Edwards is preferred.

  • Frequent standing and walking; occasional sitting

  • Occasional carrying and lifting 10-30 pounds, bending/twisting, pushing/pulling, reaching above shoulder, and calculating
