What are the responsibilities and job description for the Campground Guest Services position at IB Parks and Entertainment?
Basic Function
Represents the Campgrounds, being knowledgeable in every aspect of the amusement park, accommodations and the campground while delivering excellent Guest Service.
Specific Responsibilities
Executes check-in procedures, greets Guests, determines reservation status and provides registration assistance, determines desired length of stay, verifies method of payment, keeping records of occupied campsites and Guest accounts, making and confirming reservations, and presenting statements to and collecting payments from departing Guests.
Represents the campgrounds to the Guest throughout all stages of the Guests stay, providing excellent customer service over the phone and in-person.
Maintain strong working knowledge of the campgrounds features, and successfully communicate the information over the phone and in-person, delivering price quotes, description of room features, campsites, cabins and resort services.
Upsell current offers, ensuring Guests can obtain the best deals and take advantage of all the property has to offer.
Rectify transaction errors.
Actively listen to Guest comments, with on-the-spot recovery and resolution, escalating as necessary.
Thank Guests for visiting, encourage them to return and create a lasting impression.
Maintain cleanliness within an area of responsibility.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Ability to read, write and speak in English and understand operations manuals.
Must be comfortable communicating with all demographics of Guests, including those with concerns, comments and complaints.
Must be able to perform opening/closing procedures, handle cash, other forms of payment, balance a cash drawer and close out a credit card machine.
Available to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time in all types of extreme weather.
