What are the responsibilities and job description for the IB Bartender position at IB Parks and Entertainment?
Basic Function
Bartenders are familiar with a wide variety of drink recipes and can deliver quality customer service. The Bartender will be responsible for serving patrons at a bar and fulfilling drink orders for the servers in the bar. Bartenders monitor a cash drawer at the bar and perform alcohol inventories at the end of each shift to help maintain proper inventory levels.
Specific Responsibilities
Responsible for the promotion of a safe and professional workplace through adhering to policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook.
Provide Customer service to all guests by answering questions regarding the facility.
Must remain up to date on all current specials and promotions of the facility.
Assists in merchandising functions including display, inventory receiving and stocking.
Cash handling functions including a POS system and cash registers.
Make sure that their area achieves the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation and service.
Work with other departments as needed to complete duties.
Maintains compliance with all safety rules, procedures, and regulations.
Maintains positive interaction with other employees and guests.
Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Indiana Beach Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.
Other tasks and duties as assigned.
Requirements
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must have a valid Liquor License
Must have strong customer service skills.
Excellent multi-tasking skills. Prioritizes and performs a variety of concurrent tasks with minimal direction.
Basic math skills as they apply to cash handling.
Must be flexible regarding scheduling as it is based on business demands.
Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
Must be responsible and able to follow instructions.
Must be a team player and able to work well with the other staff members.

Should be well groomed, neat and polite.
