What are the responsibilities and job description for the IB Bartender position at IB Parks and Entertainment?
Basic Function
Bartenders are familiar with a wide variety of drink recipes and can deliver quality customer service. The Bartender will be responsible for serving patrons at a bar and fulfilling drink orders for the servers in the bar. Bartenders monitor a cash drawer at the bar and perform alcohol inventories at the end of each shift to help maintain proper inventory levels.
Specific Responsibilities
• Responsible for the promotion of a safe and professional workplace through adhering to policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook.
• Provide Customer service to all guests by answering questions regarding the facility.
• Must remain up to date on all current specials and promotions of the facility.
• Assists in merchandising functions including display, inventory receiving and stocking.
• Cash handling functions including a POS system and cash registers.
• Make sure that their area achieves the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation and service.
• Work with other departments as needed to complete duties.
• Maintains compliance with all safety rules, procedures, and regulations.
• Maintains positive interaction with other employees and guests.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Indiana Beach Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.
• Other tasks and duties as assigned.
Requirements
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have a valid Liquor License
• Must have strong customer service skills.
• Excellent multi-tasking skills. Prioritizes and performs a variety of concurrent tasks with minimal direction.
• Basic math skills as they apply to cash handling.
• Must be flexible regarding scheduling as it is based on business demands.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
• Must be responsible and able to follow instructions.
• Must be a team player and able to work well with the other staff members.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
• Should be well groomed, neat and polite.
