Position: Seasonal Manager on Duty
Department: Operations
Reports To: Seasonal Manager on Duty Manager
Status: Seasonal, Non-Exempt
Summary of Duties:
Manage the overall, parkwide, daily park operations. Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to, Guest Services, Season Pass Processing, quality control throughout the property, Guest recovery, Pre-Opening Inspection verification and training documentation audits while providing Guest Excellence and maintaining safe practices.
Job Responsibilities:
• Exhibit professional demeanor and model behaviors at all times.
• First line of defense for the property as situations arise and/or Guests are in need of assistance.
• Ensure property is in “open-ready” condition prior to park opening hour; Vehicles are off park, perimeter access
gates are closed and secure, park audio is on, menu boards are on (as applicable), property is clean and free from
trash and debris, midways are free from stains/spills, etc.
• Verify all Pre-Opening Inspection documentation is complete and accurate for all attractions at park opening.
• Audit training documentation for all departments.
• Respond to Guest concerns and perform Guest Recovery efforts as needed.
• Be a resource and/or step in to assist when needed in front-line positions, where qualified.
• Be a resource to First Aid & Security as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all property wide, internal policies & procedures.
• Quality control check property operations through routine and consistent park rounds; Ensure
attractions/shops/F&B locations are open and operational, ensure shows occur as dictated by the show schedule,
ensure arcade games/token machines/ATM are in good working order, etc.
• Escalate situations to Department Heads as needed, either for assistance or for notification.
• Perform park sweep in conjunction with Security Team Member at the end of each operating day.
• Run the daily start meeting prior to park opening, complete daily operational passdown at the end of each day.
• Perform opening and/or closing Cash Office responsibilities as needed.
• Coordinate park evacuation procedures when required.
• Protect company assets through proper use of tools and equipment and the adherence to the standard of overall
cleanliness and organization of work areas.
• Other duties as needed and/or assigned by Leadership
Job Requirements:
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Previous leadership experience is preferred.
• Must be detail oriented with a high sense of urgency.
• Must be able to initiate and maintain interactions with Guests.
• Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to efficiently manage time and work without direct supervision.
• Must be able to stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, squat, stoop, push, pull, twist and reach above shoulders.
• Ability to work in an environment with high levels of noise and vibrations.
• Ability to work in high stress situations.
• Ability to successfully pass a drug screen and background check.
• Must have reliable transportation.
