Position Title: Bartender
Department: Food & Beverage
Reports To: Revenue Leadership
Status: Seasonal, Non-Exempt
Summary of Duties:
Operate various beverage locations, preparing alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, following Standard Operating Procedures while providing Guest Excellence and maintaining safe practices.
Job Responsibilities:
• Exhibit professional demeanor and model behaviors at all times
• Deliver Guest Excellence being knowledgeable about the park
• Encourage sales through Guest interaction and upsell opportunities
• Check Guest identification to ensure they are of legal drinking age
• Maintaining inventory and bar supplies
• Mix all drinks based on serving size as outlined; to keep drink costs at a minimum and prevent overserving
• Maintain a safe environment by identifying the problems guests and having them removed
• Keep the bar area clean as per company guidelines and local health department guidelines
• Handle cash or credit transactions - Collect payment, issue change and receipts
• Operate and monitor Retail Shops following Standard Operating Procedures
• Maintain displays, shelves, cases and inventory merchandise
• Communicate via radios and telephones
• Process payments for purchases following Cash Handling Standard Operating Procedures
• Protect company assets through proper use of tools and equipment and the adherence to the standard of overall cleanliness and organization of work areas.
• Other duties as needed and/or assigned by Leadership.
Job Requirements:
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to successfully pass TIPS training.
• Ability to understand US monetary systems in order to effectively cash handle according to Standard Operating Procedures.
• Must be able to initiate and maintain interactions with Guests.
• Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to efficiently manage time and work without direct supervision.
• Must be able to stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, squat, stoop, push, pull, twist and reach above shoulders.
• Ability to work in an environment with high levels of noise and vibrations.
• Ability to work in high stress situations.
• Ability to successfully pass a drug screen and background check.
• Must have reliable transportation.
