Summary
As an Apprentice Blacksmith at IBC Advanced Alloys, Inc., you will gain hands-on experience in metal forming and shaping through the use of air operated hammers, manipulators and forklifts, and industry specialized hand tools. This role is essential in supporting our mission to deliver high-quality products across various industrial applications.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the shaping and forming of various copper alloys under the guidance of senior personnel.
- Operate forklifts and manipulators, forging machinery, and hand tools used in the forging process.
- Load and unload furnaces to deliver raw materials to the forging machines.
- Participate in quality control processes by measuring components with tape measurers and fixtures.
- Help maintain a clean and organized work environment while following all safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of industrial settings.
- Familiarity
- Able to work in a hot environment.
- Able to lift 50lbs occasionally and up to 100lbs at times.
- Willingness to learn new skills and assist in a team-based atmosphere.
- Good communication skills for effective teamwork and collaboration.
