Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide (HHA) to join our team in Chillicothe, OH. The HHA will be responsible for providing personal care and assistance to patients in their homes, under the supervision of a registered nurse or therapist.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide medication reminders and assist with medication administration, as directed by a healthcare professional
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, dishes, and vacuuming
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding, as needed
- Document patient care and report any changes in condition to the supervising nurse or therapist
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families
Requirements
- Valid Home Health Aide (HHA) certification
- Experience working with elderly or disabled individuals preferred
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Working Conditions
The HHA will work in patients' homes, which may include exposure to pets, smoke, and other environmental factors. The position may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods of time.
