Your Role and Responsibilities
The program manager is responsible for managing a team of software developers, business analysts and testers for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority. The Program Manager is the main point of contact between the client and the project team. The program manager will provide leadership, oversight, and management of the contract and will direct and monitor work to meet customer requirements, specifications and quality assurance standards.
Leaders are expected to spend time with their teams and clients and therefore are generally expected to be in the workplace a minimum of three days a week, subject to business needs.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Minimum of 10 years experience in managing and delivery enterprise-wide IT systems projects. Experience working with the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) Experience using the Agile Development methodology and SCRUM practices. Effective communicator and team builder Experienced in managing a team of staff with matrixed skills and responsibilities Experience developing and implementing program controls, schedules, program financials, and risks PMP

Experience in developing and advising strategic roadmaps
