Job Title: Human Resources Specialist
Reports to: Director of Human Resources and Finance
Job status: Full-Time
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
Responsibilities:
- Support the improvement, development and implementation of Company and Human Resources initiatives.
- Interpret, explain and provide guidance on human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations.
- Perform full cycle recruitment for corporate headquarters and branch sales offices.
- Provide guidance and support to the branches with local recruitment by assisting with preparing job descriptions, ensuring recruitment ads are in compliance and managing the hiring process.
- Review compensation structure and employee benefits with prospective candidates.
- Prepare and extend offer letters to candidates, and complete the onboarding process for all new hires.
- Coordinate and manage travel and accommodations, prepare travel itineraries for employees attending New Hire Training and conduct New Hire Orientations.
- Provide support to management and employees regarding employee relations matters, support management with performance related issues, performance management processes and correction action procedures.
- Process all terminations and final paycheck in accordance with state and federal laws. Provide exiting employees with all required forms and state notifications and exit interview.
- Process semi-monthly payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees. Resolve employee inquiries regarding payroll, commissions, benefits and any HR/Payroll related employee updates.
- Process approved medical and non-medical employee leaves of absence, personal time off and sick leave.
- Maintain employee records according to policy and legal requirements.
- Respond to Federal and State requests such as unemployment claims, disability claims, and workers' compensation.
Experience and Skills:
- 3 years’ proven experience in Human Resources.
- Understanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures.
- Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of HR software a plus.
- Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude.
- Strong ethics and reliability.

Pay: $60,000.00 per year
