We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the flow of goods in and out of our facility, ensuring that all shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. You will play a crucial role in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting order fulfillment operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with shipping and receiving processes, as well as proficiency in operating various warehouse equipment.
Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by packaging products securely and labeling them appropriately.
- Utilize equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks to move goods within the warehouse.
- Perform order picking and packing tasks to fulfill customer orders accurately.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by updating stock levels in the system.
- Conduct regular stock checks to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize shipping and receiving processes.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations while operating warehouse equipment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Familiarity with order fulfillment processes, including order picking and packing.
- Proficient in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks (certification may be required).
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills for inventory management systems.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and teamwork.
