This role is instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial operations through in-depth review, analysis, and reconciliation processes. The ideal candidate will focus on tactical and operational improvements, addressing processes, systems, and data analysis to support business objectives and drive efficiency.
What You'll Do
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial operations through in-depth review, analysis, and reconciliation processes.
- Oversee communication and troubleshooting efforts with department managers.
- Assist in analyzing and monitoring Profit and Loss (P&L) statements to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Perform and analyze month-end financial analysis reports and evaluate key financial metrics for the Accounts Payable and Procurement departments.
- Act as a liaison between finance business units and other departments.
- Make sure expenses and allocations are booked correctly within appropriate regions and clinic levels.
- Prepare cross charge allocations between entities.
- Ensure proper vendor contracts are in place and verify that all necessary documentation is available.
- Confirm whether tiered pricing is in place, provide data, and assist in facilitating negotiations as needed.
- Ensure that AP & Procurement departments are implementing consistent payment options
- Roadmap processes for RFIs and RFPs.
- Develop forecasts to align payables with receivables for improved cash flow management.
- Coordinate with Treasury and other teams to identify historic vendor spend and determine financial considerations for cash forecasting.
- Streamline departmental processes to enhance purchasing power.
- Pinpoint opportunities for improvement and provide recommendations to enhance efficiency.
- Prepare ad hoc dashboards and insights as needed.
- Support the development and delivery of accurate daily and weekly cash forecasts.
Education/Experience and Other Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
- Proven experience in a high-level accounting role.
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to conduct extensive research and reconciliations.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with financial accounting statements.
- Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
