Our Testing Lab in Goshen, Indiana is a seeking a Technician to join our team. Experienced and entry level candidates are encouraged to apply. If you are a motivated individual with the drive to learn new skills, we'd like to talk with you about this opportunity!
- Basic labor to setup and tear down test setups and fixtures.
- Materials handling.
- Cleanup and basic maintenance around lab.
- Provide assistance to technicians at a higher level while learning laboratory skills to advance to the next level.
- Learn to perform tasks at higher levels of responsibility under supervision.
- Perform required documentation of test set-ups and test procedures.
- Must be able to judge test assembly workmanship and maintain consistent quality.
- Must be capable of setting up tests in a consistent and repeatable manner.
- Perform less-defined tests that require moderate judgment and decision making abilities.
- Must be able to identify modes of failure related to HUD tests.
- Perform all work in accordance with NTA’s QA and technical procedures.
- Conduct testing in accordance with the requirements of published standards and/or NTA protocols.
- Correctly document assembly components and create sketches as necessary for complete documentation.
- Enter and review handwritten data into computer.
- Learn to perform tasks at higher levels of responsibility under supervision.
- Perform all work in accordance with NTA’s QA and technical procedures and notify supervisors when tasks cannot be completed in accordance with established procedures
- Complete all other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements
Preferred Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred Experience: One year of experience in building construction or related industry.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- Basic knowledge of building construction, building materials, and construction tools and equipment.
- Ability to learn from others through mentoring by more experienced lab personnel
Valid driver's license is required
