The Position Is Responsible For The Following Duties
About ICI Metals
ICI Metals provides a wide range of metal products, specializing in an extensive inventory of alloy bar, aluminum and stainless steel, along wtih value-added processes such as aluminum plate sawing, bar sawing, shearing, and inventory management. Call us for: Carbon and Alloy Steel, Extruded Aluminum, Aluminum for the Awning Industry, Stainless Steel, or Aluminum Plate. We are also proud to offer precision aluminum plate sawing, precision bar sawing and shearing.
The Position Is Responsible For The Following Duties
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
- Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, suppliers ledger, customer ledger, and general ledger.
- Bring the books to the trial balance stage.
- Perform trial checks of the posting process.
- Enter data, maintain records, and create reports & financial statements.
- Process accounts receivable/payable, and handle payroll in a timely manner.
- Ensure that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all reasonable discounts are taken on accounts payable.
- Ensure that accounts receivable are collected promptly.
- Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed.
- Ensure that required debt payments are made on a timely basis.
- Maintain the chart of accounts.
- Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.
- Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions.
- Issue timely and complete financial statements.
- Tracking and analyzing benchmarking against which to measure the performance of company operations.
- Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics and monthly sales reports.
- Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related financial field. OR
- At least 5 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Quick Books.
- Open to learning new software.
- Excellent phone demeanor & customer service skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers & suppliers via phone and e-mail.
