Position Overview:
As a Front Desk Staff member at Icon Eye Care, you will be the first point of contact for our patients. Your role is crucial in ensuring smooth and efficient operations at the front desk, while also providing excellent customer service. This position requires multitasking, strong communication skills, and a passion for delivering great care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Check-in & Check-out: Greet patients warmly and efficiently check them in for their appointments, ensuring all required paperwork is completed and accurate.
- Scheduling: Manage patient appointment scheduling, ensuring that the calendar is up-to-date and appointments are booked in a timely manner.
- Patient Support: Answer patient calls, emails, and inquiries, providing information regarding services, appointments, and insurance coverage.
- Optical Assistance: Participate in the optical department by helping patients select eyewear, assisting with frame and lens options, and explaining insurance benefits.
- Insurance Verification: Verify and process insurance information, ensuring that claims are filed correctly and patients are informed about their coverage.
- Cashier Duties: Handle patient payments, process transactions, and provide receipts.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate patient records and ensure that all necessary documentation is in place.
- Team Collaboration: Work alongside optometrists and other staff members to provide a seamless patient experience.
- Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, inventory tracking, and ensuring that the office is organized and presentable.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer service or front desk role (experience in an optometry office is a plus).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in office software.
- Knowledge of optical products and services is a plus, but not required (training will be provided).
- Ability to work well with a team and independently.
- Spanish speakers are preferred
