Quality Supervisor/Manager

ICON Injection Molding is a family owned and operated plastic injection molding company located in North Phoenix. We are seeking a Quality Supervisor or Manager to join our team and support the current Quality Director. The Quality Director has plans to retire in 4 years so we are looking for someone to be trained up within this time period to take over the Quality Department. Candidate should have experience in a quality control/assurance leadership position of some level, preferably in the plastics industry.

Compensation will be offered depending upon level and scope of experience, and whether candidate is initially brought on as a supervisor or manager. Supervisor position starts at $25/hour; management position starts at $62,000/year.

Sign-on bonuses of up to $800 offered.

Shift is Monday-Friday days (typically 8 AM - 4:30 PM, but may differ by an hour or two).

General Position Duties:

• Supervise/manage the Quality Department (4 inspectors across 2 shifts, 1 engineer, 1 document control clerk), facilitating adequate training of all personnel (performance management, hiring/firing, internal promotions, team building)
• Oversee and ensure completion of inspection rounds in production areas in 2 buildings
• Work closely with Production personnel to ensure timely quality processing of production orders
• Complete/assist in the completion of internal & external audits (ISO, FDA, customer audits)
• Complete various technical duties (inspections, FAIRS, PPAP, other statistical analysis)
• Maintain & report on quality data (such as scrap & returns)
• Liaise with customers regarding expectations/standards and resolution of issues (RMAs/NCMRs, CARs/SCARs & CAPAs)
