Job Title: Community Association Manager
Reports To: General Manager/Regional Director/Board of Directors
Position Summary:
As an ICON Community Association Manager, you must be eager to provide one-on-one customer service with the understanding that you represent the face of a company focused on providing ICONic service. The role will include providing leadership, direction, and management to ensure the property is maintained and operated in accordance with ICON Management’s standards. Responsibilities include working closely with the Home Owner’s Association, the Board of Directors and/or the Developer, and act as a representative of ICON Management, while facilitating solutions between communities, the company, and internal support staff.
Essential Job Functions:
- Delivers and promotes prompt, courteous, and outgoing friendly service to all residents, guests, and fellow employees in a manner that promotes our ICONic values.
- Builds and nurtures professional relationships between the Community, the Team Members, and the Company.
- Direct and coordinate the activities of contracted vendors and evaluate their performance.
- Facilitate and prepare paperwork for meetings, such as Budget, Annual, and Board of Directors meetings.
- Investigate complaints, disturbances, and violations, and resolve problems following rules and regulations.
- Inspect grounds, facilities, and equipment to determine necessity of repairs or maintenance.
- Solicit and analyze bids from contractors for repairs and/or maintenance.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate general maintenance, major repairs, and construction projects as directed.
- Maintain records of maintenance and operating costs, as well as all related Association documents.
- Purchase supplies as directed by the Board of Directors.
- Assist Board with the selection of vendors, and manage contracts for provision of Association services such as cleaning, maintenance, and security services as directed.
- Prepare detailed budgets and financial reports for Associations.
- Confer regularly with community association members to ensure their needs are being met.
- Meet with the Board of Directors and committees to discuss and resolve legal and environmental issues or any other Association matter.
- Provides leadership to Team Members
- Plans and implements strategies to meet club needs.
- Conducts tours for prospective members and orientations for new members.
- Promotes club activities through various types of media such as websites, newsletters, and emails.
- Serves on applicable club committees to assure that member’s interests are consistently addressed.
- Tracks the success (performance) of all membership activities.
- Coordinates the development of social activities/calendar for the club.

Educations/Certificates/Licenses/Training:
High School Diploma required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Community Association Manager (CAM) License required. Must obtain any required local and state licenses or certifications.
Experience/Background/Knowledge:
Previous management experience in Association Management. A minimum of 10 years of professional experience is preferred. Proven leadership experience is mandatory.
Skills:
Ability to communicate effectively with managers, guests, and employees in one-on-one and small group situations in a fast paced environment. Must have an understanding of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word; additional computer skills are necessary. Ability to create and disseminate written correspondence. Actively seek growth and development within the profession. Understanding that growth participation is directly related to your personal efforts and dedication to the profession. Must be able to perform math computations essential for budgeting and cost analysis purposes.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, and crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 5 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. At times, may be required to operate a motor vehicle.
Schedule Requirements:
A Community Association Manager is required to be on the property, or in the office during normal office hours, typically from 8:00am until 5:00pm Monday through Friday. There will be time outside of normal hours that a Manager may need to plan for, including attendance at Board Meetings and other Community Events.
