What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Scientist (Protein Science and Technology) - Wilmington, DE position at ICON Strategic Solutions?
As part of the antibody discovery group, this individual will perform an essential role to support early-stage discovery programs by purification and qualification of antibody samples. They will be expected to perform routine cleaning and maintenance of laboratory equipment, and record work in detailed electronic notebooks.
What you will be doing :
- Plan, perform, analyze, and document laboratory experiments
- Prepare cell supernatants and purify antibody samples
- Buffer exchange, quality control and normalization of purified samples
- Troubleshoot and optimize purification workflows to improve their efficiency
- Maintain laboratory instruments and supplies
- Advanced degree in biology, biochemistry or related life sciences field highly preferred
- 1-2 years industry experience
- Knowledge and hands-on-experience with protein purification required
- Experience with liquid handling automation a plus
- Strong organization, communication, and computer skills
- Flexible and enthusiastic in a fast-paced biotech
- Office based in Wilmington. DE
