Job Summary
ICON Strategic Solutions is currently seeking a candidate with scientific passion to support our goals in the exploration and progression of new targets through our discovery pipeline. The major platform of use in the laboratory will be primarily flow cytometry. This role will report direct to the Senior Research Investigator in the Myeloid Disease Group.
Summary of the Essential Functions of the Job
- Operate and maintain either spectral or conventional flow cytometry instruments including cell sorters as required.
- Support the PI to develop pre-clinical complex in vitro / in vivo flow cytometry panels to evaluate targets and lead candidates.
- Perform simple to complex flow cytometry experiments including data analysis and data compilation.
- Perform lab-based 2D cell cultures and cellular growth assays.
- Work independently in the laboratory with minimal supervision after training.
- Follow company safety practices, including training, lab safety, and record keeping as appropriate.
- B.Sc. or Master’s degree and 1-5 years of relevant experience in biopharma and / or academia
- Hands-on experience in flow cytometry and flow cytometry data analysis software.
- Candidates with a background in cancer and / or myeloid disease biology are preferred,
- Proficient in scientific computer programs including Microsoft Excel, GraphPad Prism. FlowJo, FCS Express etc.
- This is a laboratory-based position so candidate must work onsite.
