Johnny B. Transport (JBT) is among the largest in-house asphalt transportation companies in our market with full-service capabilities and assets including asphalt tankers, asphalt distributors, railcars and portable pumping units. JBT is a subsidiary of Idaho Asphalt Supply, Inc. (IAS) which is a leading asphalt supplier and marketer in the Inland Northwest and Pacific Northwest Regions. With plants in Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, Oregon, California, and Arizona, IAS supplies a diverse product line of asphalts, polymer-modified asphalt, and asphalt emulsions to the road maintenance and construction industry. JBT is looking for an energized and flexible self-starter to fill a full-time opening for a Dispatch/Logistics Administrative Assistant 1 at our Hauser, ID facility. This is an entry-level position.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assist with communication with shop on trailer repairs.
- Basic knowledge of truck regulations.
- Dry out process.
- Load trucks.
- Scale trucks.
- Data entry.
- BOL review.
- Rail car unloading.
- Understand plant code and ID system.
- Assist with truck dispatching and logistics.
- Assist with plant safety and environmental training.
- Maintain plant employee safety training documentation.
- Assist plant management in a safety-first environment.
- Actively participate and conduct safety training and audit systems.
- Maintain driver information in LME and on the system.
- Ensure LME and Samsara are always current with the correct truck, driver, and trailers.
- Assist with various projects in coordination with the manager.
Position Skills/Requirements:
To be a strong fit for this opportunity you will have:
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent
- 1 year work experience in administrative work
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point)
- Attention to detail.
- Good written, oral and reading skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Multitask oriented, organized, set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Highly resourceful; has the ability to solve problems independently and create useful and unique solutions in challenging situations.
- Safety experience and training a plus.
