Idaho Asphalt Supply is seeking an AP / AR Clerk 1 to join our accounting team.
Position Overview :
Reporting to the Division Controller, this position is responsible for performing accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of settlements and billing. The individual will work closely with the accounting and transportation teams to process invoices, resolve billing discrepancies', and ensure smooth financial transactions. The position is an energized, flexible self-starter, and detail oriented. The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations with strong organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. This is an entry-level position and is based in our Idaho Falls, Idaho office.
Position Responsibilities :
- Verify invoices, documents, bills, and other records for accuracy. and compliance with company policies.
- Process payments in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist with matching inventory, freight, and other documentation.
- Communicate regularly with invoice approvers throughout the company.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Research and answer inquiries, questions, and disputes and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end closing activities.
- Maintain detailed records and databases
