Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and actively participate in all facets of crew operations, from physical labor to maintaining morale among team members.
- Ensure the physical and emotional safety of participants at all times, prioritizing a secure and supportive work environment.
- Execute hands-on conservation projects on public and private lands, acting as the primary liaison between project sponsors and local communities.
- Implement an educational curriculum that promotes environmental awareness and life skills development, while tracking participants’ progress.
- Facilitate recreational and team-building activities during weekends, enhancing the crew’s overall experience.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and mentor young adults.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to effectively manage crew tasks and responsibilities.
- Good judgment and decision-making capabilities to navigate challenges in dynamic environments.
- Proficiency in outdoor safety management and the ability to handle physically demanding tasks.
- Experience working collaboratively with diverse populations.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Current certification in Wilderness First Aid (or higher) and CPR is required.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for the past three years is essential.
- Previous recreational or professional outdoor experience is preferred.

Compensation And Benefits
- Competitive daily pay of $106 during the field season.
- Additional $250 for the duration of staff training.
- A $2 daily bonus is available for crew leaders with current WFR/EMT/WEMT certification, further enhancing your earnings.
