Idaho Crop Improvement Association, Inc.
The Idaho Crop Improvement Association, Inc. (ICIA) serves as the official seed certification agency for the State of Idaho. ICIA is seeking a qualified individual to serve as an Administrative Assistant for the SE Area office (Idaho Falls).
Position Description
As an Administrative Assistant, the incumbent will be responsible for providing administrative support for the staff of the ICIA SE Area office in Idaho Falls. The incumbent will report to and consult with the SE Area Manager on all aspects of these activities. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. General office activities:
a. Answers incoming phone calls and directs these calls to the appropriate ICIA personnel.
b. Receives, screens, sorts, and distributes incoming mail to ICIA personnel.
c. Maintains inventories of office, kitchen, and janitorial supplies.
2. Seed Certification Activities:
a. Assists in the preparation of materials required for field inspections, post-harvest testing, and other certification activities.
b. Enters and maintains all applicable data in the ICIA database. Maintains supporting document in an accurate and organized manner.
c. Assists in the preparation and distribution of customer mailings and the annual Crop Directory.
d. Assists in the organization of grower meetings.
3. Financial Activities:
a. Manages deposits and forwards SE Area payables to the ICIA Meridian office.
b. Assembles and forwards SE Area office billing to the ICIA Twin Falls office.
c. Assists the ICIA Meridian office with end of inspection season (Aug/Sept) database audit.
4. Assists with other tasks as directed by the South East Area Manager.
Minimum Qualifications
1. High school diploma plus relevant work experience. Prior exposure to agribusiness would be an asset.
2. Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism/use appropriate office etiquette.
3. Must be able to handle confidential business information with discretion and confidentiality.
4. Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others.
5. Good organizational skills and effective verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to multi-task.
6. The incumbent must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn the ICIA database.
7. Must have a clean driving record and possess or be willing to obtain a valid Idaho driver license.
Compensation
- Full-time, overtime eligible position.
- Salary commensurate with experience. Minimum $45,000 per annum.
