Idaho Falls Community Hospital is looking for a Unit Materials Coordinator to join our team!
JOB SUMMARY: Create and maintain floor inventory stock for patient care use, while maximizing cost vs. revenue ratios for supplies. Create and maintain tools necessary for staff compliance with scanning. Coordinate delivery and supply with warehouse. Problems solve supply issues with Purchasing. Perform weekly counts to track par levels and maintain adequate supply. Conduct chart checks to ensure that R&B charges are being applied appropriately and supplies are scanned. Maintain and organize all equipment needed for patient care use.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate with Clinical Team Leader and ICU/IMC manager on clinical requirements regarding equipment and supplies.
- Audit patient accounts to ensure appropriate patient supply charges to ensure capture.
- Audit patient accounts to ensure that proper R&B charges are being applied for patient stays.
- Maintain and Manage floor inventory stock for patient care use, while maximizing cost vs. revenue ratios for supplies.
- Manage and maintain par levels for supplies to ensure accurate inventory and ordering needs.
- Create and maintain tools necessary for staff compliance with scanning.
- Coordinate supply deliveries and returns with the warehouse.
- Problems solve supply issues with Purchasing.
- Communicate with ICU or IMC manager regarding high-cost purchases and ordering.
- Count inventory with Purchasing Accounts Manager per their request.
- Management of expired items within current stock and immediate elimination of such items.
- Maintain unit equipment and coordinate with Manufacturer for repairs and replacements collaborating with Bio Med.
- As needed duties assigned by ICU or IMC manager or Director of Nursing.
- Adheres to dress code; appearance is neat, clean and within facility standards.
- Completes annual education requirement.
- Maintains patient confidentially at all times.
- Reports to work on time when scheduled and completes work within designated times.
- Wears identification while on duty, uses computerized punch time system correctly.
- Attends annual review and department in-services, as scheduled.
- Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner.
- Actively participates in performance improvement and quality improvement activities.
- Completes in-services and returns in a timely manner.
- Attends annual review and department in-services, as scheduled.
- Required to check emails and be responsible for its content at least once per week.

Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Preference given to candidate with prior medical experience or certification.
Experience: Past experience working on an ICU or Step Down nursing unit as a CNA or Ward Clerk, or past supply chain experience is preferred.
Equipment/Technology: Basic Computer Knowledge
Language/Communication: Must have the ability to effectively read, write and speak English.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
Mental Capabilities: Ability to problem solve and handle stressful situations.
Interpersonal: Ability to work well with others.
Performance: Will be measured in consistent supply attainment and cost savings.
