Residential Estimator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Residential Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating, with the ability to analyze project specifications and develop accurate cost estimates. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed within budget and on schedule. The Estimator will work closely with project managers and clients to provide comprehensive estimates that reflect the scope of work required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts on-site inspections of potential projects to assess existing structures, identify necessary repairs, and gather measurements for accurate estimating.
• Thoroughly review architectural plans, specifications, and project documents to understand the scope of work and potential challenges.
• Calculate detailed cost breakdowns for materials, labor, subcontractors, permits, and other relevant expenses.
• Prepare comprehensive written estimates outlining project costs, timelines, and payment schedules for client presentation.
• Meet with clients to discuss project needs, address concerns, and provide clear explanations of the estimated costs.
• Establish relationships with reliable vendors and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing for materials and services.
• Evaluate and price change orders requested by clients during the construction process.
• Maintain detailed records of project estimates, including supporting documentation, for future reference and analysis.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Strong understanding of construction practices, building codes, materials, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, architectural drawings, and project specifications.
• Excellent mathematical abilities to accurately calculate quantities, labor hours, and project costs.
• Clear and concise communication to effectively present estimates and explain complex technical details to clients.
• Ability to build rapport with clients, address questions, and manage expectations.
• Must have a clean driving record.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
