Accounting Clerk at Battelle Energy Alliance dba Idaho National Labora in Idaho Falls, Idaho, United States Job Description Idaho National Laboratory is hiring an Accounting Clerk to work in our Travel Accounting department. Our team works a 9í—80schedule located out of our EROB facility name in Idaho Falls, Idaho with every other Friday off. You will assist areas including Travel, Conferences, and Sponsorships, working closely with a dedicated administrative team. You will report directly to the Administrative Services Manager and collaborate to process and review travel expense reports, benefits provider invoices, and conference requests. Your role requires being a recognized source of administrative knowledge to effectively respond to customer and employee inquiries. Responsibilities Include : Process various types of accounts payable invoices (purchase order invoices, vendor payment requests, subcontractor labor, etc.). Maintain adequate payment records. Reconcile vendor statements. Resolve issues and concerns regarding vendor payments. Perform other accounts payable tasks requiring knowledge and understanding of accounts payable policies and procedures. Analyze vendor payments, research requesting payment information, review audit trails for appropriate cost distribution and other similar projects. Prepare and input cost distribution journals as required. Support testing of system updates and enhancements. Understand and interpret technical material, rules, regulations, and instructions. Use database management systems and related software. Work within a project team. Communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization. Areas of Specialty may include Accounts Payable / Receivable, Payroll, Benefits, etc. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements : Level 2 : High School or equivalent and 2 years related experience Level : 3 High School or equivalent and 4 years related experience Job Information : The pay range for this position is : Level 2 ($17.63 - $27.31) / Level 3 ($19.88 - $31.80). At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
