Heavy Duty Mechanic

As a Fleet Maintenance Mechanic at Idaho Forest Group, you will play a critical role in maintaining the health and safety of our fleet of trucks. In this position, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting complex issues, and repairing damaged equipment. Key Responsibilities Include:

• Conducting regular inspections and maintenance tasks on all trucks.
\

• Identifying and diagnosing problems with engine, transmission, and other systems.
\

• Repairing and replacing damaged or worn-out parts.
\

• Collaborating with supervisors and truck drivers to ensure timely and effective repairs.

Requirements
\
To be considered for this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

\

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
\

• One-year of mechanical training in vocational/technical school or equivalent work experience in heavy-duty mechanics.
\

• One-year of heavy equipment repair experience and hydraulic components repair.
\

• One-year of semi-truck and trailer repair.
\

• A valid driver's license.
\

• The ability to read schematics.
\

• Certifications in welding.
\

• Basic computer skills.
\
