Example of Duties : KEY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR SOUTHWEST AREA OFFICE RESOURCE SUPERVISOR Supervise three (3) permanent Land Resource Specialists at the Southwest Area office specifically TWO (2) Resource Specialist- Range position and one (1) Resource Specialist-Mineral's position. This position is further responsible for programmatic oversight of Lands & Waterways Division program activities administered by the Southwest Area Office. Safety : - Provide for safety first in all activities. This includes the office environment as well as field work. Set high expectations for safety, establish a culture of safety and provide training in safety. Plan : - Set Lands, Minerals, Range, Oil & Gas, and Recreation program goals and objectives based on agency mission, program targets, and strategic plan components. Identify opportunities and anticipate obstacles in completing program objectives. Organize : - Acquire and utilize resources by developing and managing budgets, setting work priorities, and assigning and directing work activities to meet Area program objectives and goals. Lead : - Motivate, mentor, and manage staff by mentoring and coaching, reviewing and approving work, and providing employee development opportunities. Communicate : - Establish clear expectations of staff and provide constant feedback on performance.
