Job Description
Lhoist North America seeks a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of our plant equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections, repairs, and rebuilds on all plant operating equipment.
- Conduct preventative maintenance tasks on mechanical systems, including inspection and lubrication.
- Replace bearings, idlers, dust collector bags, gearboxes, and drive belts as required.
- Understand and apply knowledge of bearing installation and maintenance.
- Use precision tools for shaft alignments.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Three years of maintenance experience or completion of an apprenticeship program.
- Technical program or equivalent experience in industrial maintenance.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Associates' Degree or Certificate in industrial maintenance technology (preferred).
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and with heavy lifting (over 50 pounds).
- Previous experience operating heavy equipment is desired.
