Maintenance Technician - 2
LA Semiconductor is looking for a Line Maintenance Technician to Perform general and specific preventive and corrective maintenance on semiconductor manufacturing equipment in our Photolithography/CMP area.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Follow prescribed procedures for safety, clean room protocol, and documentation.
- Update equipment comments during your shift on tools you’re working on and ensure the status is accurately updated in Promis at the end of your shift.
- Update PM checklists while performing PM’s.
- Perform diagnostics to maintain and/or repair production equipment.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Identify and solve problems on a team level and independently.
- Utilize Promis, SPC, Oracle, Fault Detection Control, and other electronic media in problem-solving and general documentation of work performed.
- Assist in equipment installations, writing specifications/procedures, performing projects, and other tasks as assigned by the Manager and/or team.
- Dismantle, adjust, and repair equipment according to maintenance specifications and repair manuals.
- Use schematics, hand tools, electrical gauges, and common test equipment for calibration, diagnosis, and repair of equipment.
- Drive solutions and guidelines by recommending and writing maintenance procedures and specifications.
- Provide leadership to other technicians by providing training and mentoring when the opportunity presents itself.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Able to perform work in a cleanroom suit as most of the work is conducted in a cleanroom environment.
- Technical experience in Photolithography/CMP, or general equipment technician roles.
- Experience in PM’s, diagnostics and repair of tracks, steppers, scanners, polishers, cleaners, scrubbers, SEM metrology, overlay metrology and film thickness metrology equipment is preferred.
- Capable of standing for at least 75% of the time during any particular Shift.
- Able to demonstrate mechanical aptitude; this is required to learn/perform assigned maintenance tasks.
- Ability to apply technical knowledge, training, and procedure comprehension to perform routine and sustaining maintenance on semiconductor manufacturing equipment in accordance with established procedures/specifications.
- Ability to comprehend and solve basic electronics, mechanical, and mathematics problems.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and verbal format.
- Ability to work in a team environment. Individuals must be self-motivated and able to interface effectively with other groups and maintain organization with ability to prioritize one's tasks.
- Ability to certify to respirator, Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), Arsenic and Hazardous Materials handling.
- Capable of working with and around chemicals (safety training is provided).
- Remain as shift flexible as possible as there exists the chance of being moved from the nights to the day shift (or vice versa), also must be able to work weekends as well as weekdays (we are a 24/7 facility).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively.
Education Requirements:
- Associates degree or Certificate of Completion in Electronics, electro-mechanical, semiconductor technology, or another technical program, and 2 years applicable directly related experience.
- Applicable, directly related experience may be substituted for a degree. Semiconductor maintenance experience preferred but not required.
Shift:
Shift D - Wednesday-Friday; Every other Saturday 6:45pm-7am.
Salary : $25
