Project Engineering Manager at Amentum in Idaho Falls, Idaho, United States Job Description We're looking for a Project Engineering Manager, ideally with experience in DOE / government construction experience. You will work onsite at the SFHP project office near Scoville, ID as part of onsite construction support for Title 3 activities. This position requires someone that can manage a multi-disciplined staff of engineers working on different tasks that support multiple contracts in different phases of construction. You will plan, direct, and coordinate engineering tasks required to ensure that all construction activities adhere to the project technical baseline, and any changes required are completed in a timely manner to safely and effectively support facility construction. This position requires interaction with the client to provide information and guidance on complex engineering and construction issues. Other day to day functions include coordinating disposition of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), performing assessments on existing design, responding to RFIs, issuing Design Change Notices (DCNs). Duties also include coordination with Quality Assurance on inspections / observations and supporting development of Scopes of Work for subcontracts with procurement and Construction groups. The project engineering manager will scope and estimate level of engineering effort; coordinate field work to assess existing conditions; report writing; execute potential re-design based on requirements and constructability; review of design development of drawings, specifications, and calculation analyses; assistance with cost estimating; and services during bidding and construction, including answering requests for information, bid review, shop drawing review, commissioning support, hosting progress meetings, and project closeout. Additionally, you will follow established Amentum and project quality procedures. The work will be performed in Idaho with potentially some travel. Join us and love what you do.
