Records Specialist at Robert Half in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Records Specialist in Boise, Idaho. This role primarily involves managing a variety of records within the planning and development services industry, ensuring all data is handled and maintained according to legal requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling both physical and digital records, with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities : - Facilitate the retrieval, filing, and storage of various forms of information, ensuring quality control in accordance with best practices. - Catalog, scan, and index all types of department documents, maintaining a consistent and orderly system. - Conduct quality checks on files to ensure they are imaged and indexed correctly into the city's document imaging system. - Ensure the proper classification of official records, documents, and other media procedures according to applicable City, State, and Federal legal requirements. - Maintain all records, including paper documents, digital information, and microfiche databases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information. - Monitor and manage customer accounts, taking appropriate action when necessary. - Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently. - Resolve customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner, providing excellent customer service. - Perform other related duties as assigned, adhering to all company policies and procedures. Requirements - Proven experience in a similar role such as Records Specialist or Document Management Specialist. - Proficiency in filing and managing large volumes of documents. - Ability to scan documents accurately and efficiently. - Proficiency in cataloging and indexing documents for easy retrieval. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Strong computer skills and proficiency in document management software. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions. - Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. - Familiarity with data protection regulations and best practices. - Ability to multitask and manage time effectively. - Strong customer service skills.
