Senior Project Specialist at Battelle Energy Alliance dba Idaho National Labora in Idaho Falls, Idaho, United States Job Description Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Senior Project Specialist to work in our Special Reactors department. Our team works a 9 / 80 schedule located out of our REC facility with every other Friday off. Our Senior Project Specialist will provide oversight of all project controls for the department. You will ensure that proper project controls techniques are utilized in all projects in the Special Reactors department observing the direction from the project managers and the business execution program manager. You will work closely with the project schedulers, PFC's, PCA's, and project managers to ensure the schedule, budget, and costs are managed. You will work closely with the department business execution program manager to ensure that all projects in the department are managed following department guidelines for all aspects of a project including scope, schedule, cost, milestones, and resources. Responsibilities Include : Support the efforts needed to plan, document, execute and report on projects. Integrate and communicate with project teams and managers of projects in the department. Work with PM's to ensure that proper project management techniques are used to assure schedule and budget baselines are controlled throughout each phase of a project. Participate in phase, milestone, and final project reviews. Review inter-organizational agreements and subcontract packages for completeness and conformity to project requirements. Work with project team to ensure proper project closeout activities are finalized, including final cost report and project records closeout. Work with business execution program manager to develop teams to successfully complete projects. Train and mentor junior project controls staff and interns Evaluate contract performance and assist project with outstanding commitments. Prepare variance reports and present to management. This posting ends on : 9-27-24 Minimum Requirements : Bachelor's degree in business management, Project Management, or related field from an accredited institution and 9 years of experience, or Masters and 6 years of experience, or a Doctorate and 4 years of experience Extensive experience with INL / Department of Energy business systems such as Asset suite, Oracle, P6, IPS, BDSIS, and SPLASH BI Experience with Department of Defense projects and reactor demonstration projects This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy 'Q' clearance, which requires US Citizenship. Job Information : The pay range for this position is $75,804 - $155,496. At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
