Job Description
The Admissions & Recruitment Coordinator will be responsible for recruiting, assisting, and enrolling prospective students. The incumbent will also be expected to represent and present Idaho State University in a positive manner and must be able to effectively convey to diverse constituents the features and benefits offered in order to secure student enrollment.
Key Responsibilities
- Effectively move students through the recruitment funnel.
- Manage both in-state and out-of-state territories.
- Managing of territories includes but is not limited to; building relationships and communicating with prospective students, building relationships and communicating with high school counselors and CCAs, hosting events in their high schools and territory, meeting one on one with students and their parents.
- Be an integral part of planning and executing small and large recruitment events.
- Build and maintain relationships with high school counselors, students, and parents.
- Build and maintain relationships with ISU campus officials, external constituents, and representatives from other colleges and universities.
- Participate in all Idaho Association for Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (IACRAO) events.
- Represent Idaho State University both on and off campus to prospective students, parents, secondary school counselors, and other individuals and organizations involved in the college selection process.
- Plan and attend visits to high schools within recruitment territory.
- Advisors must create a Territory Management Plan.
- Provide detailed information about the university, admissions, scholarships, financial aid, and housing to prospective students, parents, high school counselors, and external constituents.
- Advisors are required to have a full and thorough understanding of any process a prospective student, parent, high school counselor, or external constituent may encounter.
- Assist with the Campus Tour Experience Program by providing one-hour individualized admissions meetings.
- Operate Banner, Argos, and Recruit databases.
- Communicating regularly with prospective students, high school counselors, parents, and ISU campus officials by means of email, phone calls, text messaging, and other technical communications.
- Advisors are required to set enrollment goals for their territories and are held accountable for these goals and it is a measure that is used for success.
- Advisors are required to run reports and compare data in their territories regularly to help inform decisions.
- Be a productive and positive member of the Office of Admissions team.
- Working and traveling on weekends and after hours are required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited university
- One year experience working with high school students in any of the following capacities: college admissions, college advising, recruiting, mentoring, counseling
- Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills
- Flexibility and willingness to work outside of regular business hours
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Higher Education
- Experience with Ellucian CRM Recruit
Additional Information

Salary will be $48,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience.
