We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cherry Picker to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced distribution center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently and safely operating cherry picker equipment to pick orders, manage inventory, and assist with shipping and receiving tasks. This role requires a strong attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.
Responsibilities
- Operate cherry picker equipment to pick orders accurately and efficiently from high shelving units.
- Perform order picking duties in accordance with safety standards set by OSHA.
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring that all products are handled correctly and documented in the warehouse management system.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to maintain an organized and efficient work environment.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Participate in inventory management activities, including stock replenishment and cycle counts.
- Adhere to all safety protocols while performing heavy lifting and operating machinery within the distribution center.
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating cherry picker equipment is preferred.
- Familiarity with order picking processes within a distribution center environment.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job demands.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team under the supervision of warehouse management.
