Cherry Picker/Forklift Operator

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cherry Picker to join our team in a fast-paced distribution center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently operating cherry picker equipment to pick and transport products within the warehouse. This role requires attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate cherry picker equipment to accurately pick orders from high shelving units.
• Utilize RF scanners to track inventory and ensure accurate order fulfillment.
• Perform order picking tasks while adhering to safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
• Assist with loading and unloading products using clamp trucks and forklifts when necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to promote a safe working environment.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily productivity goals and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating cherry pickers or similar heavy equipment is preferred.
• Familiarity with distribution center operations and order picking processes.
• Proficient in using RF scanners for inventory management.
• Mechanical knowledge is a plus, with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices in accordance with OSHA standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual productivity.
• Must be able to lift heavy items as required during order picking tasks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Morning shift
• Overtime
