Receiving Forklift Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our team in a fast-paced distribution center environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of heavy equipment, including forklifts and cherry pickers, to ensure efficient loading, unloading, and movement of goods within the warehouse. This role is critical in maintaining the flow of operations and supporting our shipping and receiving processes.

Duties

• Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
• Move products to designated areas within the warehouse.
• Perform routine inspections on equipment to ensure safety compliance.
• Follow OSHA regulations and company policies regarding safety practices.
• Assist with inventory management by accurately picking orders and restocking shelves.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly forklifts and order pickers.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations related to warehouse operations.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job (up to 50 pounds).
• Previous experience in a distribution center or similar warehouse environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Expected hours: 40 per week

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
