Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Receiving Lead to oversee the receiving operations within our distribution center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory control processes, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of incoming materials, and leading a team to maintain high standards of productivity and safety. This role requires strong organizational skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the receiving team to ensure timely and accurate processing of incoming shipments.
- Manage inventory control procedures, including tracking and documenting received goods.
- Operate forklifts and other materials handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory levels to maintain accuracy in the warehouse management system.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate shipping and receiving schedules.
- Train new employees on best practices for shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all receiving activities.
- Troubleshoot any mechanical issues with equipment used in the receiving process.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment, preferably in a lead or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management practices and systems, including 3PL operations.
- Experience with shipping and receiving processes, including materials handling techniques.
- Ability to operate forklifts; certification is preferred but not required at hiring (training provided).
- Physical capability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required by the job duties.
- Mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing inventory records.
- Strong communication skills to effectively lead a team and collaborate with other departments.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
