Auto Body Painter Job Description
Ideal Auto Group is currently searching for a skilled auto body painter to add to the team at our Upperco, MD location . Your primary job in this role will be to paint the exteriors of our clients’ vehicles. This will involve painting surfaces of vehicles using spray-painting equipment
Our auto body painters work as part of our larger vehicle care team. It’s important that you’re able to work well with others and capable of demonstrating professionalism in the workplace. Auto Body Painter Responsibilities:
- Paint surfaces of vehicles using spray-painting equipment, power tools, and work aids utilizing specific surface preparation and painting techniques
- Inspect panels to be painted for body repair, prepping and/or buffing
- Mix to specified color using standard formulas or color charts
- Sand, mask, blend, and polish finish to match surrounding areas
- Retouch paint as necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager
Auto Body Painter Requirements:
- 1-2 years auto painting experience
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Experience spraying PPG Envirobase paint preferred
- I-Car Certification a plus
