The Human Resources Manager oversees all HR functions, ensuring the organization attracts, develops, and retains top talent while fostering a positive and high-performance culture. This role partners with leadership to align HR strategies with business goals and maintain compliance with employment laws and best practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Compensation & Benefits:
- Manage and administer employee benefits programs, including self-insured health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and retirement plans.
- Act as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits inquiries, enrollment, claims, and policy clarifications.
- Evaluate and recommend enhancements to benefit offerings to ensure competitiveness in the market.
- Partner with benefits providers, brokers, and third-party administrators to manage costs, renewals, and compliance.
- Lead benefits open enrollment, ensuring effective communication and smooth execution.
- Ensure compliance with benefits-related regulations, including ACA, COBRA, FMLA, and HIPAA.
- Oversee leave of absence policies, including FMLA and ADA accommodations.
- Maintain accurate records of employee benefits enrollment, eligibility, and changes.
Strategic HR Leadership:
- Develop and implement HR strategies that support business objectives.
- Provide guidance on organizational development, succession planning, and talent management.
- Oversee and maintain HR systems and processes.
Talent Management:
- Lead recruitment efforts to attract and hire top talent.
- Develop retention strategies, including competitive benefits, employee development, and recognition programs.
- Ensure performance management aligns with company goals and employee growth.
Employee Relations & Culture:
- Foster a positive work environment aligned with company values.
- Advise leadership on employee relations and conflict resolution.
- Oversee performance management and documentation processes.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of employee records.
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure HR policies comply with labor laws and regulations.
- Stay updated on employment legislation to mitigate risks.
- Oversee benefits administration and risk management programs.
Leadership & Team Development:
- Support organizational goals.
- Provide coaching and professional development opportunities.
Education & Experience:
- Some College or equivalent work experience in human resources, business administration, or related field preferred.
- 5 years of progressive HR experience, including leadership roles.
- Strong background in talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation, and organizational development.
- Experience working with leadership teams.
- Experience working with self-insured plans is a plus.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of multistate HR laws and best practices.
- High emotional intelligence and discretion in handling sensitive issues.
- Data analysis and Microsoft office.
- Ability to manage court ordered garnishments with regard to processing payroll.
- Experience with payroll processing.
Preferred:
- PHR, SHRM-CP, or other HR certifications.
