- Ideal Innovations Inc. (I3) is looking for a competitive, energetic, and organized proposal manager to join our growth team to lead and manage the creation of winning proposals for Federal customers. This individual will work closely with our business development team to analyze RFPs/RFIs, create artifacts to support generating proposals, and guide proposals to completion. They will facilitate a team of solution architects, business development experts, and proposal writers to create winning proposals.
- This position will play an integral role in the expansion and next generation of I3.
Typical Day:
The candidate will be involved in the migration of identified and prioritized opportunities through the pipeline and focused on the development and delivery of award-winning proposals, working across the functional business units within I3.
Tasks:
This role will include, but will not be limited to the following responsibilities:
- Analyzing acquisition documents (RFIs, RFQs, RFPs) to understand customer priorities.
- Reviewing customer requirements and assessing alignment to I3’s core capabilities
- Guiding the overall proposal development process
- Creating proposal outlines, schedules, compliance documents, customer data calls, and briefings
- Facilitating proposal document reviews (Kickoff Meetings, Pink Team, Red Team, Gold Team, etc.)
- Managing document versions and integrating content from multiple participants
- Ensuring the proposal team follows the I3 Proposal Development process, to include coaching, supervising and mentoring staff, authors, and proposal coordinators
- Writing and editing proposal content
- Maintain a library of customizable material for re-use
- Coordinate with Teaming partners for data calls and required meetings
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, or comparative working experience
- 5-10 years of experience supporting proposals
- 5 years of experience managing proposals, working with teams to synthesize and create proposal content
- Demonstrated understanding of contract types (non-IDIQ, IDIQ - single or multiple award contracts), as well as payment types (e.g., FFP, T&M, cost plus).
- Demonstrated working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
- Experience managing proposals ranging from $5M to $75M in value
- Understanding ITAR
- Understanding of common federal proposal management processes, including Shipley
- Strong knowledge of acquisition tools, including GovWin, FPDS, and sam.gov suite
- General knowledge of IT concepts, technologies, and methodologies
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive, and constantly changing environment
- Strong visual communication skills
- Strong organization skills and excellent attention to detail
- Experience with Dropbox, OneDrive, or SharePoint
- Strong experience with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge, experience, and success in winning proposal management for Federal, DoD, or intelligence community (IC)
- Confidence and experience dealing with executives; ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, time-sensitive, and often multi-tasking environment.
- Ability to work and execute a quick reaction process for all government responses.
- Ability to influence constructively and interact across the corporate structure.
- Ability to use automated tools such as Microsoft Office and Pipeline Management tools to present ideas, information, and reports.
- Previous DHS, DOD, IC, and Army RS3 proposal experience.
- Experience with federal government budget, investments, and acquisition processes.
- Ability to gain internal support and establish a solid working relationship with technical staff, division managers, and peers.
- APMP and/or Shipley training and certification
