Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with expertise in QuickBooks to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing tax documents, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in QuickBooks for managing financial data efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and oversee financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Utilize QuickBooks for bookkeeping, financial reporting, and data analysis.
- Prepare tax returns, financial statements, and other required documents.
- Conduct audits and financial reviews to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to improve business efficiency.
- Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
- Liaise with clients, vendors, and financial institutions as needed.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and accounting regulations.
- Manage and reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Assist in the preparation of internal controls and standard operating procedures to enhance the efficiency of accounting operations.
- Monitor and resolve discrepancies or issues with accounts and financial records.
- Support the preparation of year-end tax filings and work with external auditors during annual audits.
- Collaborate with management to analyze financial performance and identify areas for cost-saving and process improvement.
- Provide mentoring and training to junior accounting staff and assist with staff development.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and internal controls in all financial transactions.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to optimize business performance, growth, and profitability.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop & Online) is a must.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience (preferably in public accounting).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax laws, and financial regulations.
- Experience with financial statement preparation, tax filings, and audits.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and client service abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a CPA firm or public accounting environment.
- Knowledge of payroll processing and sales tax filings.
- Experience working with multiple clients or industries.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
