What are the responsibilities and job description for the Public Fund Accountant position at Town of Ocean View?
We are looking for a highly qualified Public Fund Accountant to work under minimal supervision at the Town of Ocean View.
The successful candidate will perform day-to-day accounting functions, including but not limited to:
- Daily deposits
- Purchase orders and payment/check processing
Ongoing responsibilities include processing Gross Rental Receipt Tax returns, managing Fixed Assets, and maintaining and billing the Town's real estate property taxes.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping practices, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
An Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required, and applicants must pass a background check and drug test before hiring.
Familiarity with Edmunds Govtech Software Solutions is beneficial.
The salary range for this position is between $55,000 and $65,000 based on experience.
