Location : Remote WFH

To be considered, qualified candidates must reside in one of the following states :

Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Idaho, Illinois, Maryland, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, Texas, or Washington.

Schedule : Monday – Friday; 40 hours per week

Compensation : $90,000 - $110,000 annually

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources / Payroll Manager to join our growing team and help us in our vision to give back lives, reunite families, and heal communities that are suffering from the devastating effects of substance use disorder.

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Human Resources / Payroll Manager with a strong focus on employee relations, to join our team. Under the direction of the VP of Human Resources, the Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources management and employee payroll administration.

  • The Role

  • Payroll Management : Manage payroll team and oversee payroll processing ensuring compliance with federal and multi-state payroll regulation.
  • Human Resource Administration : Manage all HR department functions and HR Team
  • Employee Relations : Serve as point person for employee relations matters. Investigate and resolve workplace conflicts and complaints in a timely manner.
  • Benefit Administration : Manage employee benefits (renewal, employee open enrollment, day-to-day questions / issues)
  • Protected Leave / Accommodation Administration : Ensure compliance with FMLA, ADA and other state specific leave and employment laws.
  • Performance Management : Provide coaching and guidance to managers on handling sensitive employee situations.
  • Performance Review : Oversee performance review process.
  • Multi-State Employment Law Compliance
  • Requirements :

    Minimum Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred (experience may be substituted).
  • 5 years of multi-state Human Resources experience.
  • 3 years of multi-state payroll administration experience.
  • 2 years of experience overseeing employee relations.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems (preferably Paylocity) and payroll auditing / processing.
  • Experience in organizations with 500 employees.
  • Ability to handle complex employee relations matters, including workplace investigations, conflict resolution, harassment, and performance management.
  • Strong conflict management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of ADA, FMLA, protected leaves, and other relevant federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred.
  • Strong background in investigations, performance management, and harassment.
  • Extensive experience with benefit administration and renewals, and negotiating with brokers.
  • Independent problem-solving and critical evaluation skills.
  • Superb written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and quality monitoring.
  • High learning agility – seeks feedback and improves performance through management feedback.
  • Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
